The Frontier team took some time last Thursday to volunteer at two of the nearby Charlotte Family Housing shelters. The entire group would agree that it was an incredibly rewarding experience, as we decorated the homes (Christmas trees, lights, wreaths, etc.), brought treats, and raked leaves in an effort to bring some holiday cheer to those in need. Charlotte Family Housing supports homeless families that are having trouble making ends meet by providing a group home and life coaching with the end goal of living on their own, without support. We are humbled to be a part of such an exemplary organization.

We were certainly taken aback by the uniqueness of Charlotte Family Housing’s approach to fighting homelessness. One of the more impactful elements that stuck out to the group was that nobody was home! Members of their program must abide by strict guidelines, including maintaining a steady job and meeting budgetary goals. These rules not only help families in dire situations, but prepares them to live a successful life on their own. It also allows children to see their parents accomplishing important life goals and setting an example as a role model. Frontier is excited to support Charlotte Family Housing as a core organization in our Frontier Foundation initiative!
