PMG Research Helps Advance Children’s Health with New Partnerships
Frontier Capital portfolio company PMG Research made some solid strides this summer in its quest to bring clinical research to as many lives as possible – and as a result, more than 1500 children in developing countries received much needed vaccines. In June, the North Carolina-based research firm partnered with Longboat of Dublin, Ireland, and the Avoca Group to contribute clinical research for a Longboat project – and in appreciation, Longboat donated 980 vaccines to children in developing nations through the Greater Gift Initiative, a 501(c)3 non-profit. In July, PMG teamed with two North Carolina medical groups – Raleigh Medical Group and Cary Medical Group – to provide clinical research opportunities for their patients and communities that resulted in 686 vaccines being donated through the GGI.
The mission of the Greater Gift Initiative is to advance global health and highlight the greater good of clinical trial participation by gifting a vaccine to a child in honor of every clinical trial volunteer. Since 2010, the Greater Gift Initiative has donated more than 54,000 vaccines to children in developing countries as a way to give back and thank the volunteers who participate in clinical trials and contribute to the advancement of health worldwide.
